Is Beijing Ready for Me?

No seat! But a nice man gave me one. He had to fight an evil woman to let me have it. It was a long and loud argument on why I should be given the seat and not her son (she was already sitting. She beat me to HER seat). In the end, I got the seat.

I survived the 7-hour train ride. Beijing doesn't have a choice. It'll have to be ready for me.

  4. Hindi, kasi si nice man and his friends were getting off na in Shenyang. Two of his friends were sitting so sabi niya sakin, wait lang ng konti. The evil woman positioned herself na near the two friends. Deadma lang kasi there were two seats naman e. So tumayo na yung isa at umupo na si evil woman. Then the nice man told me dun ako sa isa. Sabi ni evil woman, uupo yung anak niya dun. At nagtalo sila ng matagal.

Yes, mas mura with no seat so masaya kasi nakatipid ako.

Onga, didn't I tell you I've become an expert packer?

Sa loob ng train? Ok naman. Malinis na din. It's a little too crowded nga lang.

Mas masarap dito. The buchis here are bigger and crispier. Saka mas fresh yung lasa, unlike in Manila parang iniinit lang uli.

  7. Uyyy Beijing has that new non-stop 2-day train to Tibet. People are saying its gonna be bad for Tibet, how about you... any plans of making the trip?

  8. Haven't heard about that yet. If I can find someone to go with me, why not? Hehe. But yeah, Tibet will become all touristy also. Tsk tsk.

  9. Tibet is already touristy. The train ride is 3000RMB. I haven't been but know people who went before the train route opened. Whether it will be good or bad for Tibet is debatable.

Also opened was the trade route between India and China. Maybe the Chinese were more interested in this in the whole scheme of things, perhaps they are just trying to project military power southwards.

Regardless, when I go to Tibet, I am going on two wheels.

  14. We can, Nuna. You'll have to ask how at the Indian Embassy there. Maybe you could come to China first then we could go to India together. Paging Sandy... Can we live with you while we're there? :D

  18. are you sure you didn't Fedex the other stuff way way ahead?? coz i cant be at one place for a significant amount of time and not accumulate things..

  19. That's really everything. I thought of sending some stuff ahead but realized that it wouldn't be necessary, thanks to my newly acquired packing skills. :D

  20. Plus, I think I buy less things than most people. Still, that's a lot of stuff because I already brought a lot of things from home. A basta, blame it on my kabaratan that I managed to make everything fit in those suitcases and box.
