Thanks. Ohh!! I thought this whole colorful stick is some kind of SMART fishing gear. I guess that small plastic thing floats and get sunk when fish is hooked to the bait.
The concept of valuing animal life in China is, to put it nicely, under-developed. I've seen people bring home pets when they are cute babies only to give them away once they grow up. Why? Usually because they just weren't cute anymore.
In the spring you can buy baby ducks and chickens - sometimes dyed a variety of colors. These cuties are to be taken home, played with a few days and then they simply die. When I asked about this I was told that they always die - that's just the way that it is - but it sure is fun for a few days...
Oh, and the water was probably too polluted to eat the fish from....today I got caught in a rain storm for a few minutes and it burned my eyes and tasted of diesel.
we have these too. they sell them in front of schools, year-round though, not just during spring because technically we do not have spring. anyway. and yes, they die after a few days too. sigh.
aww...gusto ko din nito :)

ReplyDeleteWhat the heck is this??? Some state of art fishing gear? Educate please!
We just left them in the basin. :(
ReplyDeleteThat's a small plastic thing attached to the string. You'll know when you caught a fish because it'll move. I found it a little useless.
Thanks. Ohh!! I thought this whole colorful stick is some kind of SMART fishing gear. I guess that small plastic thing floats and get sunk when fish is hooked to the bait.
ReplyDeletewhat?! you didn't even eat the fishies? why catch and kill them in the first place? that's horrible!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know! I thought we were going to eat them. But we didn't. :(
