This is Home for Now

I'll be staying with the team in this semi-hotel for a little less than a month more. I love the fact that my room gets cleaned every single day without me having to lift a finger, that I turn the aircon on and off and not worry about electric bills and that if there's anything wrong I can just open my door and yell, "fuwuyuan" and somebody would come running to see what I want. I'm spoiled rotten....

  1. "fuwuyuan" eh?
I should try that at home. Looks lovely! No wild parties now, okay?

  2. probably charge an arm and a leg for laundry?

  3. I wash my own clothes. I don't know if the hotel offers laundry service but nobody seems to be using it. And I don't think anyone here knows what a wild party is.

  6. Thanks, Wena.

Marion, um, semi-hotel nga siya. Actually, hotel nga yata talaga siya. Wala nga lang towels or mints sa pillows. I don't know why they don't give us towels. Siguro iba-iba lang ang concept ng hotel para sa iba't ibang tao.

  9. Amazing....! you are reading a nice book about a nigerian young girl.. and about mixed races (the Icarus Girl) talking about one of Yoruba's premises about twins..and how their lives in three separate worlds: the Bush, a ‘wilderness for the mind’, the normal world and the spirit world.... Quite interesting!

  11. This sorta looks like Dave Navarro partied through it...

  12. Yup, that movie. One of my favorites. Although I don't really like Paltrow. But it seems like she's been starring in many of the movies that I like (Shakespeare in Love, Proof, Sylvia).

And yup, that book. I'm finished with it. Right now, I'm reading Sucking Shrimp. The blurb says, "a novel about food, sex and Spain." Now how can I not buy that? A line from the book goes, "Strange food is a perfect substitute for foreign travel." It's a coming of age story of a girl who wants to "escape" by going abroad.

Lionel, Dave Navarro, Dave Navarro... Now why does the name sound familiar?

  13. Achi Janice, yes there are other people aside from the team. Mga tipong nagse-seminar chuva.

  14. Dave Navarro was the guitarist of Red Hot Chili Peppers for a while... married Carmen Electra, divorced her, is judge for the RockStar reality tv show
