Let me introduce to you not one... not two... but five mascots for the Beijing Olympics 2008!
Meanwhile, Gatorade has replaced water in my diet and I'm starting to get so sick of this yoghurt that I shove down my throat everyday just because it's free. Yup, they're official sponsors.
pwede mo ba ako bigyan ng friendlies??? :) they're cute i want to put them sa workstation ko... at least ako ang una sa P&G (sana) na may mascot ng beijing olympics....
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling un getting sick of gatorade, when I got sick early this january (severe case of LBM) i drank nothing but gatorade... and one thing i found out, lemon lime flavor is not good if you have a tummy ache, might be because of the acid lalo sumasakit sikmura so better stick with grape then
Unfortunately, we only have the lemon lime flavor. Sabi, there were two other flavors daw dati pero so far for now, we only have that original one. I've actually gotten used to the Gatorade, while I'm sick of the yoghurt.
ReplyDeleteI'll see about the mascots. I don't know where ZhangZhen got them and I'm sure they'll be very expensive in the specialty Olympics shops. I'll try, ok? No promises. :)
They are quite similar to the Pokemon series of cartoons and games worlwide.... Myself has a dozen on my N64 emulator
ReplyDeletehhhahahaahaaaaaah...
Um, I don't think they'd want to be compared to the Pokemon cartoons...
ReplyDeletenuni i want the green one with the eagle thing on its head...no wait, wait, i want the brown one with the funky earrrings...no wait, wait, i want the red one. yes, definitely the red one. it looks like it could kick the other mascots' asses.
ReplyDeleteand the yoghurt looks un-yummy.
ReplyDeleteI think they look a little like the Powerpuff Girls. Except there are five of them. And I'm not sure if they gave genders.
ReplyDeleteIf Friendlies are the official mascots, is LiNing the official sportswear of the Chinese athletes?
ReplyDeleteYes, I think so. Incidentally, LiNing is my big boss. You know, the kind of boss that you only hear about but never really get to meet because he's that big. But going back to your question, yes, I believe he's the "official oufitter" of the Chinese athletes. And I think he has been for the past several Olympics.
ReplyDeleteReally?? the 1984 LA Olympic Games Gold medalist gymnast is your big boss??...whew!!...certainly he's a lot of business to attend to that's why he seldom meets his employees.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, i have a collection of LiNing sportswear specially their jackets & jogging pants...the design, materials and quality are exceptional...kaya lang wala pa akong nakikitang LiNing sneakers here in Qatar, and am waiting for the one signed by Shaquille O'Neal. If you find a LiNing sneakers signed by Shaq, can you take a pix and post it, please? ;-)
the red one is definitely the most domineering. with that hat, looks like it can butt-head its way anywhere.
ReplyDeleteis there any particular meaning to each of them?
ReplyDeletelibre ba ito sa inyo? now, we're talking!
ReplyDeletesana pwede ako kumuha sayo :(
ReplyDeleteYes, they represent certain qualities, among other things. For the curious and bored alike, click this: http://en.beijing2008.com/37/03/column211990337.shtml
